Do you really know if your private water supply is safe?
Water can contain dirt, sediments, bacteria and other contaminants that can make it taste and smell bad. Some of these impurities could endanger your health, especially if your water contains micro-organisms and bacteria. Sometimes symptoms can be obvious like an unusual scent or a change in colour but sometimes there are no symptoms at all to show how pure your water is.
If you intend to use water from your private supply for drinking purposes, you must get it tested.
We can test water from wells, boreholes, springs, rivers and other private water supplies for the most common forms of bacteria and chemicals.
Our technical engineers can support you by recommending remedial treatment required based on the water test findings. This could include sediment filtration, UV sterilisation for disinfection, iron or manganese removal, nitrate reduction and other treatment technologies.
Water tests should be conducted periodically to ensure the effectiveness of the water treatment implemented and that no further water quality issues have arisen.
What is the water tested for?
Our water testing services include bacterial, physical and chemical parameters which will show if your water complies with the EU drinking water standards and is below the regulatory limit. Your water is tested for the following:
