Peripheral Turbine Pumps

Quality range of compact and economical peripheral pumps

Peripheral turbine pumps (also known as regenerative turbine pumps) are compact, inexpensive and capable of producing relatively high pressure and head at low flow rates due to their precise engineering.

They are built with a specialised impeller design that has a large number of vanes surrounding it. These vanes open up into an annular channel in the casing. The fluid is repeatedly circulated through the vanes and peripheral channel by the impeller, generating more and more kinetic energy. Unlike in standard centrifugal pumps, the fluid will be rotated through the pump several times, allowing a large amount of energy to be gained in a small space.

They can also handle liquids with gas entrained without cavitation or lost efficiency. We sell both self priming peripheral pumps and non self priming pumps to suit your individual needs and applications.

Regenerative turbine pumps are effective for pumping clean water, so common applications for these pumps include water distribution, pressure boosting, irrigation and sprinkler systems. They can also be used in domestic applications such as boiler feed and hot/cold booster units. They’re a great choice for areas where space is limited.
