Are you experiencing leaking seals when pumping hot wort? Does your brewery pump seal repeatedly look like this?
We have discovered a solution to your hot wort transfer problems.
Over the past few years, Whisper Pumps have seen a trend to use the Lowara CEA(M) pumps to transfer hot wort in the brewing industry. This is due to its stainless steel construction that has the ability to withstand high temperatures of up to 110°C. However, we found that brewers were experiencing problems with their hot wort transfer pumps leaking. We discovered that sugars from the wort were crystallising on the faces of the pumps mechanical shaft seal (as shown in the image above). After some experimentation, we found a mechanical seal with a material which can still withstand the same high temperatures but does not allow sugar to adhere to the mating surfaces causing the leaks.
Whisper Pumps stock this brewery pump mechanical seal for retro fitting to existing wort pumps or we can fit the seal for you.
Supplied Loose - You will receive the seal and fit it yourself. Fitted - We can fit the seal to a CEA pump of your choice. Choose your CEA(M) pump here and add the seal to your basket too, then checkout as normal.
